Connie’s consulting and financing career spans over 24 years, helping business owners and managers build transformative strategies to meet the demands of their market and customers.
Sparks’ is widely recognized as an award-winning leading expert on business development, strategic planning, and supplier contracting. As an Author, Business Coach, and National Trainer, she has trained thousands of executives, business owners, and professionals from various backgrounds on topics that range from getting certified, working with the government, starting a business, strategic planning, and financing a business.
She worked with business owners at all levels, on building their businesses, tapping into new markets, and more importantly, changing their mindsets to forward-thinking CEOs. Since 2019, she has been on a mission to achieve two goals. The first goal is to help micro and new business owners thrive in a Covid environment, and secondly, to certify more than 150 women owned and minority businesses nationwide and educate them about the untapped opportunities in government procurement.
In the past two years, she hosted more than 133 workshops on contract readiness and capital readiness for various county, city, and state organizations and higher education institutions. As a result, she certified over 500 businesses, processed 1800 certifications, and raised $140 million in supplier contracts. She understands the value and unique perspective of being a certified minority woman-owned enterprise, and what a designated status can do for a small business. Connie grew her company profits by 230% within 2 years.
She’s consulted with numerous clients across the country on raising capital and business expansion, which led to raising more than $48 million in capital infusion; created 371 jobs, retained 223 jobs; and assisted with the launch of 260 + startups.
Sparks’ knowledge of her subject is thorough, and her expression is passionate. She’s made appearances on various syndicated radio and television programs, quoted in many articles, and has had several profile articles written about her success.
