About Elliot Schwartz:
I am a highly skilled and uniquely experienced individual. Now semi-retired, I have a limited number of consulting and advisory clients and direct my own business's part time (in between I run marathons, go trekking and climb mountains).
I have the capacity and desire to share my depth of knowledge and experience with the owners and leaders of additional interesting businesses that could benefit from my experience and knowledge. I have been the CEO of a listed business services group and of a national subsidiary of a famous international advertising agency group; the marketing director of a large retail chain; a serially successful entrepreneur building and leading businesses in insurance, marketing services and tourism; a highly regarded management consultant on business strategy, business development and marketing issues; a chairman, board director and advisor for businesses large and small; and a mentor to start-ups and early stage business and to the owner/managers of successful private businesses transitioning to professional/corporate structures.
An American citizen with a degree in Economics (I studied under 3 professors who went on to win Nobel prizes, including Milton Friedman) from the Univ. of Chicago, and an MBA from Chicago Booth, I am now resident in South Africa and have experience in both first and third world markets around the world.
